PROFESSIONAL BELLYDANCE PERFORMANCES

Jewel is a vivacious and highly experienced performer who displays grace, artistry and technical skill. Jewel can bring vibrancy and excitement to your next event - offering entertainment to your guests and helping put everyone in a celebratory mood. Jewel can tailor her performance for you from an extensive dance repertoire, including classic Egyptian cabaret and folkloric style dances, plus the use of props: veil, cane, sword balancing, finger cymbals and Isis Wings.

Jewel is available for weddings, parties, family and corporate functions. Her shows are appropriate for all ages - please note that Jewel does not perform at Bachelor's parties or other men-only events.

HEN'S NIGHTS - BELLYDANCE OR BOLLYWOOD PARTY PACKAGES!

For an unforgettable girls' night that's glamorous, energetic and just a little bit cheeky, you can't go past our Party Package. We'll provide you with an hour of excitement and laughter - either at your party venue, or we can arrange studio hire at a location that suits you. Here's what you get:

• Short bellydance performance in full costume to inspire your guests.
• Your choice of Bellydance or Bollywood lesson - we'll have everyone swaying those hips and shimmying in no time, and teach you a fun, sassy routine.
• Fabulous costume for the Guest of Honour to wear, plus colourful scarves for everyone to tie around their hips.
• Special gifts for the Guest of Honour to keep - a sparkly, coined hip scarf and a music CD of the latest Bellydance and Bollywood beats, so you can show off those new moves long into the night!

Arabian or Bollywood Princess Dance Party Package

For little genies who love to dress up and dance! We come to you with a magic bag full of dress-up scarves and bindis for all guests, plus a very special costume for the birthday girl to wear. She also receives a party bag with her very own jingly coined hip scarf and music CD to keep. After getting glammed up, we'll teach the girls some basic dance moves and put them together in a fun routine. We'll also enjoy some age-appropriate dance-based games, like 'Freezing Genies' and 'Bollywood Musical'. Then while the little genies have a rest, they'll enjoy a lovely performance by Jewel.

Best suited for children aged ~6-11 yrs, and with a maximum of around 15 participants. Parties run for approximately one hour. Set price $220 (Within inner Melbourne - travel surcharge may be added for outer suburbs).

Shimmy Chicks Party Package

Especially for teenagers, this party is a great way to learn the latest bellydance or Bollywood moves. We come to you for an hour's lesson - learn hip flicks, circles, shimmies, snake arms and more, then put it all together in a short routine that can be used out dancing with friends. We bring lots of colourful scarves for everybody to wear, plus a special costume for the birthday girl, and her own coined hip scarf and music CD to keep. The package also includes a fabulous performance by our dancer. Lots of dancing, loads of fun!

Parties run for up to an hour. Set price $220 for any number of guests, though a maximum of ~15 is recommended. (Price within inner Melbourne - travel surcharge may be added for outer suburbs)

HIGH SCHOOL AND CORPORATE WORKSHOPS - BELLYDANCE AND BOLLYWOOD

Jewel has extensive experience in delivering one-off workshops in both corporate and school environments - see the sample list of workshop clients below. She creates a positive learning environment and is an expert at getting everyone involved!

High School Workshops

Both belly and Bollywood dance are highly popular with teenagers and offer a great enticement for them to exercise! Jewel has made high school workshops a specialty, and is often brought back to teach classes each term. A typical class lasts for around one hour, and includes a very brief introduction of 'what is bellydance/ Bollywood', followed by warm-ups, learning basic moves, putting it together in a routine, cooling down and question time or a short performance by Jewel. An hour is the most popular time frame, but longer workshops can include presenting more information on the dance or trying out some basic prop-work (eg: cane twirling). The workshop works best with a maximum of ~25 participants. NB: For mixed-gender groups, Bollywood can be especially good as it offers the boys their own funky dance moves.

Workshops in the Workplace

A dance workshop is a great way to bring a refreshing burst of joy into the workplace. As a lunchtime activity, conference or team building exercise, or combined with a performance, Jewel will be sure to get everyone involved and feeling good. Bellydance is most popular with all-female groups, while Bollywood works especially well with mixed-gender groups. A typical workshop lasts one hour, but this can be tailored to suit the client, and Jewel will come to you.
